Basic terms and principles of personal data processing

On 25/05/2018, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Regulation on data protection), with the English name General Data ProtectionRegulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR") and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on the amendment of certain laws.

Jurika - Liptov respects the protection of your privacy and values the trust you place in us when processing personal data.
To protect the processed personal data, we have implemented all appropriate security measures (technical, organizational and other) and processes to check their ongoing compliance and adequacy. At the same time, we regularly update and check security measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure of personal data or unauthorized manipulation of it.
Definition of basic terms
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, where an identifiable natural person is a person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or by reference to one or multiple elements that are specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Processing of personal data is an operation or a set of operations with personal data or sets of personal data, in particular obtaining, recording, organizing, structuring, storing, processing or changing, searching, viewing, using, providing by transmission, dissemination or in any other way, rearranging or combining, limiting , erasure or disposal, whether by automated or non-automated means.

A data subject is any natural person whose personal data is processed. The persons concerned, whose personal data is processed in the Jurika-Liptov environment, are mainly our own employees and their family members, persons working on an agreement, job applicants, employees, suppliers, visitors, guests, etc.

An operator is anyone who alone or jointly with others defines the purpose and means of processing personal data and processes personal data on their own behalf; the operator is Jurika - Liptov.

An intermediary is anyone who processes personal data on behalf of the operator based on a written contract or agreement.
Compliance with the principles of personal data processing
Jurika – Liptov as the operator defines the purpose, conditions and means of personal data processing, while observing the principles of personal data processing established by the regulation.

Personal data are:

processed in a lawful manner, fairly and transparently in relation to the data subject ("lawfulness, fairness and transparency");

obtained for specifically designated, explicitly stated and legitimate purposes ("purpose limitation");

adequate, relevant and limited to the extent necessary in view of the purposes for which they are processed ("data minimization");

correct and updated as necessary ("correctness");

stored in a form that allows the identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed ("retention minimization");

processed in a way that guarantees adequate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage, through appropriate technical or organizational measures ("integrity and confidentiality").

Legality of personal data processing
Processing of personal data in Jurika - Liptov is carried out on the basis of one of the following legal bases:

contract with the data subject – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to carry out measures prior to the conclusion of the contract at the request of the data subject,

fulfillment of the legal obligation of the operator – processing is necessary for the fulfillment of the obligation of the operator established by a special law (legislation of the Slovak Republic or the EU),

legitimate interests of the operator – processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the operator,

consent of the person concerned - if the person concerned has expressed consent to the processing of his personal data for one or more specific purposes.
